Slide. View of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, as seen from the starboard side of the bulk carrier MV STEWART J. CORT in the St. Marys River as it makes its approach to the Poe Lock. The Purvis Marine dock is to the left with a bow-on view of the tug ANGLICAN LADY at far left. Two vessels at dock in center of photo: at the right is the barge CHIEF WAWATAM and inboard of it is the salvage lighter PML SALVAGER, a former LST. The blue tarps on the dock may be covering one of the WAWATAM's old steam engines. March 22, 1992. |
