When he was on the CORTLAND was severely injured when the CORTLAND collided with the steamer MORNING STAR. He worked as 2nd mate on the CORTLAND, Captain of the JOHN F. PRINCE, 1st officer on the CHANDLER J. WELLS, captain of the J.H. STEVENS, captain of the CITY OF SHEBOYGAN, mate on the STAMPEDE, captain of the GRANGER and captain of the BELLE BROWN. |
