Description |
Insignia from World War II submarine USS HAWKBILL. Shows a turtle wearing a sailor's hat, with a torpedo under his arm. On his back is an insect inside a glass that has been tied to the turtle's back, looking through a periscope. Made of two layers of paper: paper with insignia has been glued on top of a heavier paper. With white accents. Appears to be a preliminary copy with handwritten notations that would have been given to a printer. |
