Description |
Purple glass bottle, round with narrow neck at top. Pressed glass imprinted on both sides. One side reads "Manitowoc Maritime Museum, Manitowoc, Wis." with an image of a submarine at center. Opposite side reads "Eastland Disaster, July 24, 1915, 835 Deaths" with an image of the passenger vessel EASTLAND at center. A paper sticker is adhered to the side of the bottle that identifies the maker. These bottles were sold as a fundraiser for the Museum. This bottle was part of the first set, issued in 1972. |
